The American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena (AA-EVP) is a nonprofit educational association, dedicated to the support of anyone seeking to understand the nature of apparently paranormal information frequently discovered on audio and video recording devices, and known as Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) and Instrumental TransCommunication (ITC). The primary purpose of the Association is to facilitate this search for understanding through the sharing of information and ideas among its members and the general public.
EVP are unexpected voices found in recording media. ITC is a newer term that includes all of the ways these unexpected voices and images are collected through technology, including EVP. Of the many hypotheses designed to explain these phenomena, the Survival Hypothesis has been found to be most effective in answering the evidence.
